Coach Bio - Rhyan Becker

Assist. Coach - 14-2 Green

Hello! I'm Rhyan Becker, and this will be my first year coaching for Portland Volleyball Club. I just finished up my second year coaching Adrienne C. Nelson High School's JV2 team, and assisting with their Varsity team. I've had an amazing time coaching these last two seasons, and I'm excited to extend my experience by taking on a club team.

I started playing volleyball when I was 11 and never looked back. I played rec ball through the YMCA through 8th grade, then was finally able to play competitively for Centennial High School and for MHAC during the club season. I took several volleyball classes at Oregon State while I earned my undergraduate degree, and began coaching at Nelson immediately after graduating and moving back up to Happy Valley.

When I'm not coaching, I'm a middle school health teacher, and I love it. Working with students is so rewarding (and they're hilarious). I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, doing puzzles, planning and taking vacations, gardening, and shopping. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
